We Can Help
I’m Lauren, the creator of Peanut Patterns and a professional pattern maker and grader with an extensive background in apparel technical design. We offer digital PDF sewing patterns for babies and kids, catering to new and beginner sewists. Our instructions are simple, with step-by-step full-color photos to walk you through every step of the process. We believe sewing should be fun and accessible.

A PDF pattern is a digital file opened on a computer and printed at home using a standard printer using paper sizes US letter or A4. The pattern is tiled across multiple pages that are cut out and assembled with tape. PDF patterns provide instant access to patterns, more variety in designs, and more freedom to access your patterns. Once you purchase a PDF pattern, it is yours to re-print and use anytime.
-
A PDF pattern is broken into a few different files. The first file is always the instructions, which provide a step-by-step tutorial using real full-color photos and detailed steps to sew the garment. Instructions include printing tips, usage, layout, and construction information.
The second and third files are the patterns for letter and A4 paper sizes. Depending on the pattern you purchase, the size file will either be one file for all sizes or be broken into two sections, such as Preemie to 3Y in one file and 4Y to 12Y in another. Breaking the files into two sizes prevents paper waste, as larger sizes consume more paper, and most customers sew smaller sizes.
The last file is the A0 Copyshop size and Projector file, which can be printed on a large format printer or at a copyshop and does not need to be tiled and pieced together. For those sewists who use a projector, this is also the file they will open.

-All files are in English

-Always print PDF patterns at 100% scale or actual size to ensure sizing accuracy
-Always measure the test square before cutting out your project
-Do not print from a mobile phone
-Printing from an internet browser is not recommended due to the reduced print settings. For best results, use a PDF viewer such as Adobe.
