Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where do you find your fabric?

Our favorite place to buy fabric is Spoonflower. They have a huge variety of designs to choose from and a huge palette of fabric (we recommend ordering a fabric sample pack). You simply choose your favorite design and the fabric type you'd like. We use the modern jersey option. Click here for our Spoonflower favorites list, if y’ve used in one of our patterns.

  • Why Do You Split Pattern Sizes?

We split our patterns into two file sizes—one for Preemie to 3 Years and one for 4 Years and up. We found that if you were sewing a smaller size, you were printing off A LOT of extra sheets you didn't need to accommodate the larger sizes. Creating two different files is more economical for printing.

  • Do I need a Serger?

Not at all! All you need is a sewing machine that is capable of a knit overcast stitch, which most are. If you are unsure if your machine can do this stitch, look in your sewing machine manual. You can also message us if you want us to confirm your’s ability to do a knit overcast. We’re friendly.

  • What if I am Not Satisfied?

We will 100% refund you. Just message us. We will ask what you didn't like so we can improve in the future.

  • Can I access my old Account?

We updated our website recently, and after much consideration, we no longer sell patterns directly on our website. Without this ability, we have no way to keep prior user accounts. If you’d like help with a past purchase from peanutpatterns.com, message us, and we will find a way to accommodate you.

  • Do I Need A Special Printer?

Not at all! Print on your home computer. The files print on A3, A4, US Letter, and Legal paper sizes. A projector/A0 copyshop size file is also included in every pattern if you would like to print it on a plotter or send it to a print shop (but once again, this is not necessary to use our patterns).
