Downloading a PDF Pattern
After you complete your purchase, the digital PDF sewing files should be available instantly in your account. Using a computer and not a tablet or mobile device is recommended as they do not have advanced print settings (which are required for printing PDF patterns). Here is a step-by-step guide for accessing and downloading files on Etsy.
STEP 1
Hover over your account icon, and click on “Purchases and reviews”.
STEP 2
Scroll to your order, and on the right hand side of the page click on the button “Download files”.
If you are using the Etsy app, you will not have this option. The Etsy app does not allow downloads which is why the easiest way to access files is from a laptop or computer.
STEP 3
On the right hand side of the screen, you will see “Download” buttons. Click on the download for the file you are trying to save/access.
STEP 4
The file will save automatically to the downloads folder on your computer. On a Mac (shown below), the downloads folder is located on the left side of the finder window. On a PC, it is located on the left side of the file explorer window.
STEP 5
Click and drag the file you are wanting to open to the desktop—this enables you to have easy access to your files and save them for future use.
STEP 6
Right click on the file, hover over “Open With” and click on the PDF viewing program you are using. Adobe Acrobat is the most common.
